MEBO Group Presented Awards to the Firefighters of the Year

On April 2, Sacramento Kings played at home against San Antonio Spurs in the capital of California. At halftime of the match, the first annual firefighter awards ceremony was held jointly by MEBO Group, the Firefighters Burn Institute Regional Burn Center at University of California, Davis and NBA Sacramento Kings.
Kevin Xu, Chairman of Board of Directors of MEBO Group, and Li Li, Vice Chairman of Board of Directors of MEBO Group, presented awards to eight winners selected by eight fire departments in the Sacramento area. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Palmieri, former President of the American Burn Society, Dr. Greenhalgh, former president of the International Burn Association, Dr. Parry, current president of the American Burn Association, as well as family members and colleagues of the award-winning firefighters. The game saw the largest attendance at the Kings' home stadium this season. Nearly 20,000 spectators were present to witness the glorious moment when their community's heroes, firefighters, were recognized and honored. In 2023, the Kings won their first victory in 16 years and celebrated together as the Kings secured a playoff spot as the third-ranked team in the Western Conference.
At the end of 2018, MEBO Group made its debut on the NBA stage and established a strategic partnership with the only major North American professional sports league team in Sacramento, California. Based on the shared values of hard work, health, vitality, and helping others, both parties made efforts to work together in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting sports values, and built a closer relationship. After they jointly awarded reward to the firefighters, their cooperation was expanded. Kevin Xu said, "MEBO Group, UCD, the Kings team, and the fire department could jointly bring more attention to local heroes of firefighting and raise people’s awareness of burns, including prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of burns in the future. More importantly, we will deepen our cooperation in other areas in the future."
Firefighters Burn Institute Regional Burn Center of University of California, Davis is the largest burn treatment center in Northern California. The new center was formerly known as the UC Davis Regional Burn Center and covers an area of 13,000 square feet.
