CSULA Rongxiang Xu College Conducts 2026 Summer Academic Exchange Program in China
From June 8 to 17, 2026, a 13-member delegation from the Rongxiang Xu College of Health and Human Services conducted a ten-day academic visit to China, including undergraduate and graduate students in nursing and public health programs.
The program aimed to strengthen bilateral exchange in medical education and scientific research, while also serving as a practical implementation of China’s “5-year initiative to host 50,000 American youth” exchange program, fostering deeper people-to-people engagement.

The delegation’s first stop in Yantai included visits to Shandong Medical and Pharmaceutical University, where students toured medical laboratories, clinical training centers, and the university museum. At the Rongxiang Xu Memorial Hall, participants paid tribute to Rongxiang Xu, honoring his contributions to regenerative medicine.

In subsequent visits to Binzhou, Chengdu, and Beijing, the group engaged in hospital-based clinical observation, cultural immersion activities, and academic exchanges. Highlights included hands-on Traditional Chinese Medicine experiences, clinical observation at wound care departments, and visits to MEBO Group headquarters to explore advances in regenerative medicine and global healthcare applications.

The visit concluded in Beijing on June 17, marking the successful completion of the exchange program. This initiative further strengthened academic collaboration between China and the United States in medical education, nursing training, and public health development.

MEBO Group will continue to serve as a bridge for international academic cooperation, promoting innovation in regenerative medicine and fostering long-term educational and cultural exchange between young scholars from both countries.
