MEBO Chairman Kevin Xu Attends CGI 2026 Winter Meeting

On March 9, 2026 (local time), the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Winter Meeting was held in New York, bringing together global leaders from government, business, and civil society to discuss collaborative solutions to pressing global challenges.

Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO Group and former Chair of the APEC Host Committee, attended the meeting by invitation. During the event, he presented a commemorative APEC-themed frame to Bill Clinton and exchanged views on the upcoming APEC meeting to be hosted in China in 2026. Both sides expressed hope for a warm, inclusive, and cooperative APEC gathering.

In discussions with President Clinton, Xu introduced the concept behind the 2026 APEC visual identity, centered on the mythical Kunpeng, a symbol deeply rooted in Chinese culture. The design features a soaring bird formed by 21 interwoven wings, representing the 21 APEC economies advancing together and sharing common development momentum.

Xu noted that the spirit of APEC continues to evolve—from building resilient and sustainable futures to promoting shared prosperity and stable dialogue. Looking ahead to 2026, he emphasized the importance of fostering a stronger sense of community and partnership among APEC economies.

A long-time partner of the CGI, MEBO Group remains committed to advancing sustainable development through global health initiatives, regenerative medicine, and international public welfare cooperation. Xu’s participation further strengthened people-to-people dialogue and reinforced the role of multilateral cooperation across the Asia-Pacific region.

The meeting was hosted by Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton.
