The 22nd Academic Conference on Burns and Wound Repair of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine opened in Jinan on May 22, bringing together more than 300 experts, clinicians, and researchers from across China to explore advances in burn care, regenerative medicine, and integrated Chinese-Western wound repair.

Under the theme “Regenerative Empowerment, Precision Repair,” the conference focused on cutting-edge developments in chronic wound management, regenerative technologies, AI-assisted diagnosis, multidisciplinary treatment systems, and clinical innovation. Academic forums, case discussions, and practical workshops highlighted the growing role of regenerative medicine in improving patient outcomes.

Leading experts including Tang Qianli, Zhou Jianda, and Sun Yexiang delivered keynote presentations on topics such as the molecular mechanisms of MEBT/MEBO therapy, AI-driven wound assessment, and integrated treatment strategies for elderly patients and complex wounds.

The conference also featured specialized forums on burn surgery, nursing rehabilitation, and young investigator research, showcasing emerging studies in smart hydrogels, diabetic wound healing, and regenerative therapies.

The event demonstrated the continued advancement of China’s integrated burn and wound repair discipline and reinforced the role of regenerative medicine in shaping future clinical standards and patient-centered care.
