Kevin Xu Meets Incoming Caltech President, Extends Congratulations and Discusses Cooperation

Caltech has officially announced that Professor Jayawardhana, a renowned astrophysicist, will assume office on July 1, succeeding Thomas F. Rosenbaum. He will become the tenth president in the 105-year history of one of the world’s leading science and engineering institutions.
MEBO Group and Caltech share a long-standing partnership that began in 2018 and has since developed into deep and substantive collaboration. In 2019, the two parties jointly established the California Institute of Technology Kevin Xu Neurotechnology Center, which relocated in October 2021 to The Caltech Chen Neuroscience Research Building, a state-of-the-art neuroscience facility on Caltech’s campus. The center is dedicated to developing innovative solutions to address technical challenges faced by neuroscientists and has supported more than 200 research projects at Caltech, generating significant scientific impact.
Over the years, Kevin Xu has also engaged with the Caltech community as a guest speaker and entrepreneurship mentor, delivering forums and lectures that promote the integration of academic research and industry innovation.
In addition, Caltech has selected several faculty members to pursue research pathways inspired by the pioneering work of Professor Rongxiang Xu in regenerative science, honoring his legacy while advancing continued exploration in the field. This shared commitment to scientific innovation has become a core intellectual and values-based foundation of the enduring partnership between MEBO Group and Caltech.
