MEBO Group Launches Nationwide Initiative for Leprosy-Affected Care with First Project in Sichuan

On December 3, 2024, MEBO Group hosted a landmark signing ceremony at its headquarters to launch a nationwide initiative aimed at improving medical care for leprosy-affected individuals. Partnering with the China Leprosy Prevention Association (CLPA) and the Sichuan Provincial Leprosy Prevention Association, MEBO Group introduced a public welfare project targeting chronic, non-healing wounds. This initiative’s debut in Sichuan establishes a blueprint for expanding compassionate care nationwide.

Pioneering Compassion with Advanced Medicine

MEBO Group President Yang Zhibin opened the event, emphasizing the hardships faced by leprosy-affected individuals and the transformative potential of regenerative medicine. Zhang Kun, Director of MEBO's Public Welfare Center, highlighted the project’s approach, integrating MEBO’s Moist Exposed Burn Ointment with training, treatment, and assistance to enhance patients' well-being.

The partnership drew praise from CLPA Vice President Pan Chunzhi and other leaders, who lauded MEBO’s dedication to social responsibility. This historic agreement marks a vital step in nationwide efforts to provide care for a marginalized community.
