Kevin Xu Makes History at Obama Presidential Center Construction

On June 10, 2024, Kevin Xu, Chairman of MEBO International, made a historic mark at the Obama Presidential Center construction site. Xu signed the top beam of the museum building's 'Sky Room,' becoming the second person after President Obama to leave a permanent mark on this significant project.

The Obama Presidential Center, set to open by the end of 2025, will be more than just a museum or library. Since 2016, Kevin Xu has provided strategic guidance to the Obama Foundation. His expertise in site selection and value extraction has been crucial to the project's success. Xu's signature symbolizes his significant contributions and strong partnership with the Foundation.

 

Active Engagement with the Obama Foundation

Kevin Xu has actively participated in the Obama Foundation's activities, including summits, the Global Youth Leadership Roundtable, and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Presidential Center. His collaboration with President Obama in Greece before the APEC 2023 Summit was vital to the summit's success in San Francisco.

The Kevin Xu Initiative at the University of Chicago introduced the KXI Global Development Studies course, now essential for Obama Scholars. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Xu Rongxiang Biomedical Innovation Center at California State University, Los Angeles, provided free testing and received significant recognition from the Obama Foundation.
