MEBO Group Launches “Life Regeneration Action” to Aid Burned Children in Partnership with ANIQUEM at APEC 2024

As APEC 2024 nears, MEBO Group reaffirms its dedication to APEC’s mission of collaboration, legacy, and shared values. For the second year, MEBO Group, led by Chairman Kevin Xu, is a strategic partner in APEC initiatives, actively advancing burn prevention and treatment within the Asia-Pacific region. On October 15, MEBO Group joined forces with ANIQUEM, a Peruvian nonprofit, to introduce the “Life Regeneration Action” program, an effort that underscores MEBO’s humanitarian commitment to Latin American burn survivors and expands APEC’s scope in child health and safety.

Kevin Xu’s Leadership in Burn Care for APEC 2024

Chairman Xu first championed burn care as a key issue for APEC’s agenda in 2023, spurring actions that have fostered cross-border collaboration and resource-sharing aimed at improving burn care networks throughout APEC member economies. During his October 3 visit to Peru, Xu helped launch the Peru chapter of the “Life Regeneration Action” program, emphasizing the profound impact of burn treatment on families and communities. Xu expressed his hope for APEC to serve as a platform that promotes advanced burn treatment technologies, ultimately ensuring a healthier, safer environment for children.

ANIQUEM and MEBO Group: A Partnership for Child Recovery

ANIQUEM President Dr. Raúl Rodríguez Vilca lauded the partnership, highlighting the organization’s achievements in burn prevention and treatment. This alliance promises comprehensive recovery services, including physical and psychological therapies, for young survivors from impoverished backgrounds. MEBO Group Vice President Liu Gang formalized the collaboration by signing an agreement with ANIQUEM, ensuring that the program provides custom pressure garments, therapy, and burn prevention education to improve the lives of affected children and their families.

Inspiring Hope and Resilience Among Burn Survivors

The event also featured the “Little Mebo” panda toy, a gift from MEBO that resonated deeply with the children, symbolizing hope and friendship. The young attendees participated in an art session, expressing their dreams for the future with vibrant paintings. Among them, Valentina presented a colorful heart-shaped piece to Chairman Xu, a gesture of gratitude that added a heartfelt moment to the occasion.

With the “Life Regeneration Action” program launch, MEBO Group leads the way in APEC 2024 initiatives, championing public welfare, industry innovation, and global healthcare collaboration, solidifying its commitment to corporate responsibility on an international scale.
