Product Advantages:
• Expands upon contact with blood to exert pressure properly and evenly to stop bleeding.
• Dissolves on the peripheral upon absorption of the blood to form a protective layer of gel that protects the wound, prevents undesirable adhesion of tissues, and promotes blood clotting.
• Stimulates and activates macrophages and mucosal epithelial cells on the wound to promote mucosal healing locally as chitosan is polymerized from N- acetyl glucosamine and glucosamine monomers that are the main components of mucosal epithelium.
• Dissolves into or dislodges from the wound spontaneously, thereby eliminating retrieval of the sponge and reducing discomfort of the patient.
