Kevin Xu met with representative of UNHCR
On May 2, Los Angeles time, MEBO Chairman Kevin Xu met with Benedict Cumberbatch, representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Hollywood to discuss cooperation on refugee program. MEBO group would launch a large-scale regenerative medical technology training program in Europe.
UNHCR was established by the United Nations General Assembly on December 14, 1950.
It is responsible for leading and coordinating global action to protect refugees and find solutions to their problems.
As a non-political humanitarian agency, UNHCR is mandated by the United Nations to protect refugees and help them find ways out of difficult situation.
At present, UNHCR has 17324 staff worldwide, helping tens of millions of asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons, stateless persons and returnees in 135 countries. Among those people, UNHCR pays particular attention to children and is committed to advocating the equal rights of refugee women and girls.
